Our Policy on Customer-Supplied Images and Image Files:

The laser engraving process requires high-quality images to produce a high-quality finished product. Customer-supplied image files often require significant editing time to bring them to the proper format. Any time spent to bring a file into an acceptable condition and/or format is not included in any of our standard pricing. Image editing incurs additional costs over and above the listed amount. It is difficult to accurately estimate the amount of time that will be needed to edit any particular file to be suitable for the laser engraving process.

Image editing services will be billed on a time-expended basis at the rate of $80/hour. In general, for images to be a candidate for being laser-ready, they must be in a standard vector format (.eps, .ai, .cdr, .svg) and be of sufficient quality.

Prior to quoting a job, we will be happy to look at any graphic image and determine whether it is laser-ready. All estimates for laser engraving are considered tentative until we have determined that any graphic file presented to us is in an acceptable format to guarantee a quality laser engraving.

Our Policy on Customer-Supplied Printed Images:

Usually, an image on paper can be scanned into a digital format suitable for laser engraving. Depending on the quality of the original image(s), the time spent scanning and editing the image can be significant. Scanning and image editing time cannot be predicted and will be billable at actual time at the rate of $80/hour.
